La ceramica insegna la pazienza.

Un’idea si presenta nella testa. Il lavoro inizia ma l’argilla non ama la fretta, non vuole sole e vento.

Quando i pezzi sono asciutti si riempie il forno ma i pezzi devono essere tanti perchè il forno è grande.

Continuamente bisogna fare delle scelte perchè ci sono tante possibilità, tante strade che si possono imboccare . L’oggetto, alla fine, sarà il risultato di tante direzioni prese.

Saranno passati i giorni, le settimane, a volte anche i mesi.

E l’idea iniziale cosa sarà diventata?

Pazienza

e se non sei soddisfatto

si ricomincia!

Pottery teaches you to be patient.
An idea pops up in your mind. You start working but the clay doesn’t like rushing, it doesn’t want the sun nor the wind.
When the pieces are dry, the oven gets filled, but you must have many pieces to fill it, because it’s very big.
You continuously have to make choices because there are many possibilities, many paths that you can take. The object, eventually, will be the result of all the roads taken.
It can take days or weeks or even months.
What has the initial idea turned into at that point?
Patience.

it’s time to start over!
